McCon-O-Pot (II Gen)

NEW DESIGN VINTAGE TONE

The McCon-O-Pot is the soul of our McWah. A unit specially designed with the help of CTS to create the rich, thick, and dynamic wah sounds of the old Italian pedals, while providing a smooth taper and long throw, and needing zero cleaning or maintenance.

SMOOTH GRIT

An independent comparison of the McCon-O-Pot against a few competing types was conducted by keen eBayer and engineer Phillip Perkmann. He provided the following graphical representation, to allow others to see the tone of our pot “in action”. Note the travel/sweep symmetry — and the intentional elongating of the high-end resistance taper. This is what provides a more pronounced middle area, and feel while playing.

McCon-O-Pot

The McCon-O-Pot is a combined effort between us here at McCon-O-Wah and our friends at CTS. Desiring the grit, spank, and throatiness of a jimiesque vintage wah, but with the throw and reliability of a modern boutique pedal, we found no other option but to design a new potentiometer to fit our needs. This 2nd generation variant of the McCon-O-Pot is a perfect option to turn your standard or boutique wah pedal into a vintage tone machine that you’ll never want to stop playing.

Product Description

Conventional wah pots are not calibrated for many of today’s circuits!  Many “boutique” manufacturers either ripped off the old ICAR design, or copied it exactly only to put a new name on it and resell it as their own.  (This is NOT an ICAR tapered pot.)

The MCP-II is a culmination of efforts: we worked directly with CTS to design a better performing, more reliable potentiometer for all of us.  This new design has 133.3 times the cycle life as the MCP-I and also features tighter torque actuation.  It requires NO cleaning, and is moisture/water resistant rated.
